TEAM

Program Description

Ages 12 - 17

This is a new and long-awaited offering for our highest-performing and most dedicated athletes. We bring it to you in an effort to provide exceptional and intense athletic training with the option of a local, supportive academic program. While there are a few ways an athlete can structure their Academy training, they all share one thing in common - lots of time on snow, travel, competitions, and elite training opportunities.

Academy athletes have a host of special opportunities. All Academy programs include transportation in the team van during daily programming as well as travel training and competition trips, dryland training & conditioning at Elevate in shoulder seasons and on inclement weather days, coaching at all competitions and travel training trips including Nationals, and invitation-only travel training trips.

*Additional fees for ramp days as well as costs for food, airfare, and lodging on travel trips.

**EPIC, IKON, and/or Bolton Valley passes or day tickets required.

Academics

Athletes have choice in how to access academic courses- through their local school, Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative, or another accredited online institution. Green Mountain Academy provides a Supported Study Hall in our GMA Headquarters classroom (Stowe Free Library until the new HQ is ready). GMA’s Academic Director works one-on-one with families to help them decide the best option for their particular situation.

Athletics

Academy athletes train and compete in all disciplines. Depending on the option, athletes train on snow 3 - 5 days a week and compete regularly. Full- and part-time programs include shoulder season dryland training and conditioning. Elite training opportunities include dryland (trampoline) sessions, ramp days, coaching during training trips including preseason, Futures tour, Nationals, and other travel training trips.

Program Options

In an effort to provide flexible training opportunities to our elite athletes, we are offering a variety of ways to access the Academy Team.

Program cost includes GMA club membership.
